The Scottish Borders Centre for Clay Target Shooting

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Eildon Hills, in the heart of the Scottish Borders, Braidwood is ideally situated to cater for corporate entertainment needs. Only an hour south of Edinburgh and within easy reach of Glasgow, Carlisle and Newcastle escape to the country to take part in a truly 'country' sport. Individuals, syndicates or groups are welcome whatever the size.

Clay shooting is a fantastic leveller, needing no previous experience, and is ideal for team building events. It's a source of great entertainment and the inevitable competitive edge creeps in when teams shoot in mini events. All you've got to do is arrive in suitable outdoor clothing and we look after everything else.

The shooting itself is carefully arranged to make sure visitors have a safe and enjoyable time while trying out the sport. On the ground we have over 80 automatic traps simulating all types of game from driven grouse, high pheasants, and bolting rabbits to springing teal and crossing pigeons.

Great fun, and the source of much excitement are our simulated game days that give the full sensation of a live driven game shoot but using clay targets instead. Each package is designed to suit the particular client.

For example, arrive at the Ground mid morning to be greeted with freshly brewed coffee before going out to shoot in a warm up session pre-lunch. Enjoy a leisurely buffet, soup and sandwiches or a cosy shepherd's pie, then out you go again to shoot the afternoon's drives. Perhaps you want loaders or want to shoot double guns? Just let us know and we'll make it happen.

Our half day 'Stag Do' special of a fully inclusive 25 target informal competition with coaching throughout is hugely popular - not just with prospective groom's and their parties. All you need do is arrive suitably dressed and we'll take over rounding off the session by presenting the 'winner' with a medal to commemorate the event.

We don't make a fuss about safety but our experienced team make sure you relax and have a great time while always keeping you safe!
All shooting is supervised by experienced coaches with instruction available as required.
